Veles does not have an aiport, but however - the Skopje airport Alexander The Great Airport (SKP) is located near the village of Petrovec, in the eastern Skopje plain, some 20 km east of Skopje. Have in mind that the airport is not being reconstructed, some 20-30 years.

Trains connect Veles with Skopje and onto Belgrade, Ljubljana and Thessaloniki and Athens. The express route Vienna-Thessaloniki passes through Veles twice daily, once going to Thessaloniki and second time returning to Vienna, passing though Belgrade and Ljubljana. The railway station is 15-20 min walking from the downtown.
